Bear with me! LOL. I know I blog lots about my dog, Rico, but he still amazes me and teaches me a lot about life.
I'm still pleasantly stunned at how well he has adapted to his new environment, considering horror stories I've heard about pets never adapting.
I'm thrilled that his barking is under control and very little startles him now. He greets other tenants with a wagging tail and will even perform tricks for them. He has learned to expect noise and people everywhere - in the halls, the elevator, stairs and so on.
I marvel at his ability to figure things out and know that in the end, it doesn't matter where you are, it's love that is important. Things can be rocky at times, but you weather it through until peace finds you again.
Believe it or not, he actually helped me decorate this tree - by bringing the bulbs to me to hang. Yeah, okay, he did bat them around a bit, but I'm pretty positive he was just making sure they were durable.
