HELLO!
I've always heard that saying - 'It takes a village to raise a child' - but I am learning that 'it takes a town to raise my dog.' LOL.
Since I can't leave him alone right now, due to the fact that Rico barks nonstop in protest of his new home, I have discovered lots of things. Home Hardware and Canadian Tire are pet-friendly and he is welcome to shop there with me. The Post Office allows dogs. Not only that, he gets a treat when he visits. The local Pet Store and also Rico's groomer, told me to drop Rico off with them, if I am stuck. My trainer, friends and even a tenant I've gotten to know, have offered their assistance.
I'm lucky. I'm living in a town full of kind people.
Meanwhile - great progress. Rico no longer barks when he hears people in the hall. I can sit on the balcony with him and he can watch people come and go without a peep out of him. He also has heard the fire siren from the station next door, without even a raising of his head to see what it is.
So I am thankful for kind people who pass it forward the many kindnesses given to them. I will be sure to pass their kindness forward, as well.
Here's another picture of my sweet but currently displaced dog. And yes, he really does skateboard.
Thanks for listening.
