Hello!
I attended a beautiful wedding on the weekend. As I watched the couple exchange their vows, I was in awe at the love they had for each other, which was evident in their words and especially in their eyes.
There was no doubt that they loved each other very deeply.
So just how do relationships break up? How do they go from loving one another with all their hearts, to walking away?
In my book - LOVE? - Samantha struggles with this concept. Love is really darn easy when everything is going well. It's easy to love when there is laughter and harmony and health - when two people are on the same page. This is all easy peasy stuff.
The real challenge is to love each other when times are tough, when laughter is scarce, when illness enters the equation, when people disagree.
That's where commitment becomes important. The commitment to see each other through the tough times - to stay together - to compromise - to work things out - TO NOT WALK AWAY.
On the weekend, I wished I could bottle their love. To have a jar of love sitting at their kitchen table every single day, reminding them of their vows and commitment - their decisions to see their relationship through the tough times. It is these times that bring you closer together, that build the foundation for a deep, loving relationship, that makes love last forever.
So feel free to read LOVE? and journey along with Sam as she discovers what real love means to her. Thank you.
