Good morning!
There is an angel in my town. I know nothing about him, but see him all the time.
He is everywhere, always picking up litter and garbage on the street, near restaurants, on roads. The other night I saw him shoveling off snow at a busy intersection. This was after it was already shoveled - he was making sure every last bit of ice was gone to ensure our safety.
He does all this on his own. He is not paid for his efforts and I was told he will not accept money. He is just quietly going about his life making the world cleaner and brighter, every single day. Doing his part in service and love.
I admire him.
One time I was driving by and saw him sitting in a coffee shop. I pulled over and handed some money to the waitress and asked her to make sure he got whatever he wanted to eat. I just had to do something to this man who got up everyday and did an act of service, in ways I would never even think of. And because of him, my town is cleaner than ever.
To me, he is an angel. And Merry Christmas to him.
He makes me believe in the innate kindness of people who still give because it is who they are. They are not looking for anything in return. A true inspiration.
This is my own personal angel - Rico. Only one thing - he DOES like something in return - treats. LOL.
Happy hunting for those special angels who grace our world.
Merry Christmas.
Suzanne
