Hi there,
I absolutely love the warmth that I find in the small town I live in. We have a Business Improvement Area (BIA) which is a non-profit organization. It is devoted
to the advancement of this town and it’s businesses through
'beautification, advocacy, and promotion'. I took this description from their website.
It's a fantastic organization and this year, they asked people to donate their pumpkins, which then lined the main street in town. Yes, we had a Path of Pumpkins, a line of orange, that everyone could see as they drove up and down the main drag.
It was fantastic.
It was lovely, heartwarming, and brought smiles, laughter and joy to everyone who make the trek to see them. It was also fun and showed the playful side of this town as we took in how everyone decorated and carved their pumpkins.
What was also so wonderful, was that the pumpkins were then gathered and given to the local zoo for the animals to enjoy. This local zoo rescues animals, takes in wounded animals, and helps provide a happy life for them. This made it even more exciting and rewarding.
So thank you goes out to this small town - a town that never stops giving and loving and caring. I am proud to be a resident here.
Cheers to you! And I leave you with two special photos - courtesy of Kathy Marshall and the BIA - one shows a sample of the parade of pumpkins and the other shows a lion enjoying a pumpkin. Thanks for listening.
